I Just Got My AA in HistoryA few weeks ago, I received my AA in History from San Diego City College. After that, looks like I'll be going to National University to get my BA (likely in Global Studes with a minor in History since they don't offer a Religious Studies degree), and from there to my eventual M.Div in Religous Studies. However, given the economy, these plans might be put off just a bit. Each step of my education brings me closer to pursuing my long-term goal of chaplaincy. Thanks to all of you for putting up with my limited hours during my AA period, I may be opening up for more hours soon this summer so stay tuned for announcements.Eddie and the San Diego City College Department of Cosmetology

Below are some slides of Eddie with faculty at the October 2008 Groundbreaking Ceremony for City College's new Vocational Education Building that will house Cosmetology along with several other departments. A Meditation Poem Inspired by the Quincunque VoltEarlier this year (2009), I was inspired and wrote a meditation poem inspired by the Quicunque Volt (or Athanasian Creed) and the theology of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, S.O.J. This was shared by Eddie as part of the spiritual message at the Swedenborgian Church of San Diego. Those who are interested, can read it by clicking here.A Prototype of My Magnum OpusThe above slideshow displays my artistic rendering of Emmanuel Swedenborg's transitional work entitled "Worship and Love of God." These five panels (currently ink on wood and not fully painted) are the prototype to my extensive seminal work in wood utilizing woodburning and color staining on the scale of the Isenheim Altarpiece by German artist Matthias Grünewald. These panels were originally set with a paint color scheme for children to follow in painting as part of the Mission Hills Arts Open in 2007. Sadly, that never took place and the panels remain largely uncompleted. The finished work was planned to be installed as a cycled work at the Swedenborgian Church of San Diego.
